Can’t crickets or being a ghost be a part of the fun? As a very cricket-oriented writer I think I start to accept this. A post can have zero views for months — and then somebody cool and distant reads it and we have a conversation that gives meaning to everything I do.

So may be crickets are not that bad as a soundtrack.
